Support groups are available to both addicts and those in close relationships with addicts.

• National Institute on Drug Abuse for Teens - Advancing Addiction Science
• Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (LICADD) - If you suspect someone you know of using heroin, call 516-747-2606, and they can help you with treatment options.
• Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a 12 step drug addiction recovery program modeled after Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Visit the NA website for more information and local meeting times. Nassau County Help Line: 516-827-9500
